Singing

Sunday at church, Arabelle and her friend, Breana surprised us with a musical performance!

First they sang "Jesus Loves Me". Breana was really belting it out. Arabelle was being a little shy.
Then Arabelle starts singing a song I've never heard, but she was saying something like "God made everything in the whole wide world. Yes he did!!". Then Breana keeps singing and Arabelle tells her that "that's the end". ha!

You can see Bo up there on your left and Breana's little brother, Braden in the far left at times.

It makes this Mama's heart happy to see and hear her little girl singing about Jesus!

14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. ~Mark 10:14-16

Birthday Visit

March is a big month of birthdays for our extended family! Lindsey, Rhianna, Grandma, Papaw, & Gigi all have birthdays this month! Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit on Friday. Grandma's birthday was on Thursday and Arabelle was SO excited that we were having Grandma's "party" at our house. You know, Arabelle doesn't think it's a birthday unless there is cake, so I picked up a big cupcake at Harvey's and we were ready to celebrate!

Obviously, they both enjoyed the cupcake!

Playing on the porch!

Funny face!
Grandma & Grandpa took us out to eat at D.J,'s and Arabelle wanted to go home with them. Next time, I'll have her back packed and she can go! This morning, she said "I think I'll go to Grandma & Grandpa's house today.". ;)

When Arabelle is away.....

When Arabelle is at school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, Bo and I usually stay home a while to clean up and play. Monday is our grocery store day, but Wednesday and Fridays, we do something fun! We went to the park twice this week! Bo played with his buddy Pax on Wednesday, then Bo and I ran by for a few minutes today before getting Arabelle from school.

I learned that I can NOT tell Arabelle that we went to the park though because then she will cry and say she wanted to go, despite the fact that she gets to play on a playground at school.

Bo likes to wear Arabelle's sunglasses whens she's not in the car. I need to get him a pair!

Bo loves to help put clothes in the dryer. Today he asked to get in.

Swinging like a big boy!
Sweet boy. He has started enjoying holding my hand lately. Love it!
My phone doesn't make a great video, but here's Bo at the park today. He saw an ant, then stomped on it, then says "gone". :)

Gymnastics

Arabelle LOVES Tuesdays because she gets to go to gymnastics and story time at the library. It's a big day for a 3 year old!

She asked for "balls" in her hair on Tuesday and she was too cute in her outfit to not take some pictures. She enjoyed showing me some gymnastics poses and some "Arabelle" poses.

I got this little skirted leotard at the consignment sale and she LOVES it! I know it's more of a dance leotard, but who cares, it's cute!

Not sure what this move is!

I love how Bo was watching her! He has SO much fun at gymnastics too.  :)

Sleepover!

We had company last night! Rhianna & Gigi came over to spend the night! Arabelle has been SO excited all week. Rhianna will be 5 next week & Gigi will be 4 later this month, so they are all right there together in age and have so much fun together!

Starting with a little dress up!

Do-a-dots! They all loved this. Rhianna insisted this wasn't 'real painting'.

Arabelle is really telling Gigi something here!

Snack time!

How sweet are these girls!?

Silly faces!

Ready to sleep! Yeah, right! They didn't fall asleep until after 10!

Play-doh time!

Very serious stuff here

Snack time! Notice how much darker it is in the background here.  This was just a minute or two after the pic above it. Apparently there was a tornado a few miles south of here. It was raining at our house, but no bad wind at all!
Bo needed a snack too!
The girls had SO much fun! We are looking forward to the next sleepover!

*I am starting to watermark my photos. I got a little program that does them all at once. Can't ever be too safe. Friends/family members--if you are wanting a copy of a certain picture, email me and let me know and I will send it to you without the watermark. :)

Growin' Up!

Bo had his 18 month check-up Thursday. Arabelle was happy to tag along and skip out on the pokes and prods. She was sure to let them know that it was Bo's appointment and not hers!

Bo was 24.4 pounds (30th percentile) and 33.5 inches tall (80th percentile). Long and lean! He is actually a bit shorter and lighter than Arabelle was at 18 months! It's funny because his entire first year he was shorter but weighed a lot more than she did at the same age. He was in the 80th-90th percentile until 6 months, then slowly started dropping down the growth chart (Arabelle followed the same pattern). It's interesting because they didn't start real food until 6 months either!

This picture cracks me up! A piece of waffle, one of Arabelle's house shoes, and that look!

Bo definitely keeps me laughing with his expressions and little words. Monday, I made bacon and pancakes for breakfast. Arabelle and Bo ate a ton for breakfast, then we sent Arabelle and Jared off to school & work. I put the last couple of pancakes in the trash and started doing a bit of housework while Bo played. Next thing I know, he comes walking in eating a pancake. Yep, he'd gotten it out of the trash! It was sitting on top of a box, so I let him enjoy it. :)
He was saying "Vroooooommmm" with the flowers.

Bo was not feeling the group photo

Also, Bo has successfully weaned from nursing! Tuesday night when he asked (I stopped offering several weeks ago), I told him it was all gone. He whined a bit, but I distracted him with books & singing and he was okay with that. He asked again on Wednesday night, but didn't even as on Thursday night! Such a big boy! It was easy and there were no tears (from Bo, anyway!). This is the first time since December 2007 that I haven't been pregnant or nursing a baby!

Red Day

Arabelle had Red Day at school on Wednesday. Jared happened to be wearing a red shirt too, so I wanted to get a picture of them before leaving! Jared was SO happy. ;)

Bo just HAD to join in the picture, with his piece of waffle and a shoe. Look how excited Arabelle was! :)
