Pajama Day

Bo had Pajama Day at pre-school last week and he was really excited to wear his robe and house shoes. He looks like an old man in his plaid robe. ;)

Paint

With all the recent rain and cold days, we've done a lot of painting, crafts, games, and reading! I pulled out the water colors one day last week and all three had the best time! Bo really tried hard this time to make a good picture....usually his ends up as a brown blob. :)

Arabelle was SO proud of Mae's painting!

Very serious and in green, of course!

Gone Fishin'

Monday was such a nice day and Jared surprised us and came home early to take us (well, Arabelle and Bo had all the fun) fishing! Mae had just woken up from her nap, so she was ready for a snack by the pond. :)

Arabelle gave Bo some fishing tips, then walked over to Jared and said, "I just told Bo all the rules of fishing". ha!

They were both so excited!!!

Arabelle got a fish right away!

And Bo followed pretty quickly!

Arabelle caught 5 and Bo caught 4, so they were really pleased!

And this was too funny not to include. Anytime Bo takes a bathroom break outside, Mae stands beside him, holds her shirt up, and says "tee tee!". haha!!

Hangin' Around

We still play outside most afternoons and I actually took my real camera outside one day this week (I know, shocking!).

Arabelle loves to hang upside down and 'swing'.

Bo and his bubble gum....he asked me to take a picture of him and his bubble.

That thumb!

Bubbles

They both really love the scooters they got for Christmas!

Mae was proud of her new trick here.

Funny girl. :)

28 weeks with baby #4....third trimester!

I can't believe I'm in the last leg of this pregnancy! The beginning seems SO slow and the rest just flies by.

Pregnancy Highlights:
  • How far along: 28 weeks 4 days as of today (2/15)
  • Size of the baby: Supposedly about 2.5 lbs and the size of a large eggplant. I'm sure this little guy is bigger than average though, like all the rest have been.
  • Total Weight Gain: 28 lbs....yep. I gained 20 with Arabelle and Bo, 30 with Mae, and probably going to hit 40 this time. I know I'm eating healthier this time than I did with Arabelle (night shift work + cafeteria meant a lot of macaroni and cheese!). I guess being 30 instead of 24 makes a difference. I've lost it all each time with little effort, so I'm hoping my body will do that just one more time!
  • Gender: BOY!
  • Movement: Definitely an active baby in there. Not a whole lot of movement in the mornings and it's sporadic throughout the day, but things pick up in the evenings and night. Some of the kicks are starting to hurt already.
  • Sleep: I've been sleeping really well, besides a bathroom break once or twice. Usually by 7:00, I'm done laying down and get to feeling nauseated and dizzy if I don't get up and eat something. I've started with a head cold/cough this weekend, so that is making sleep more difficult.
  • Cravings: Nothing really. Still not liking grilled beef (no steak or hamburgers...yuck!). Grilled chicken is okay, but still not the best. I was STARVING for about a week a few weeks ago and was eating a ton of snacks (cereal,  apples with PB, yogurt, etc) but that's stopped, thankfully!
  • Symptoms: Just generally feeling BIG, nausea in the morning before I eat and I get nauseated in the evenings some, no matter if I've had a snack or not, lots of tension headaches on the back of my head and neck (need to get to the chiropractor soon!), and other things that I'm sure no family members want to think about and I didn't even know existed before I had children (even after Arabelle and Bo.....my body is wearing out!).
  • Best moment of the week: Feeling and seeing all the little kicks and trying to teach Mae that there's a baby in there and not a ball. :)
  • What's next: I had my glucose test last week at my 28 week appt and passed that just fine. Next appt in 4 weeks will be with the nurse practitioner since the Dr. will be out of town, then 3 weeks after that (35 weeks), will be an appt with the Dr. and an u/s to measure the baby's growth. I am already feeling some kicks up high on my belly, so I think this boy is a whopper.

This is hilarious to me.....28 weeks with Arabelle and 28 weeks this time. Things stretch out a lot quicker the 4th time. :p

Mae Baby

I am always asking Mae "Who's my baby?" and she answers with "Nae!!!!", but she certainly is turning into more of a little girl and not much of a baby. I guess she will always be my baby girl, no matter how old she is. :)

Catching up with a few pictures and videos here...

Mae grabbed this pail the other day and said, "Bye! Work!" and blew a kiss and ran away, then turned around, ran back, and said, "Home!". Ha!

I put a pillow in her crib a couple of weeks ago for her to sleep on and she LOVES it!

She really loves the park now and is pretty independent. I figure once she's old enough to go and play with Arabelle and Bo, then the baby boy will be old enough to need help on the playground equipment. ;)

She LOVES taking a bath and splashing all over the place.

Her language has really exploded lately. She'll try to repeat anything you say and strings together 2-3 word phrases.

Earlier this week, we had played outside after lunch and when we went out to play after nap, a bird had pooped on her swing. She was APPALLED at the mess, so after I cleaned up the swing, she got in it and wouldn't stop talking about the 'bird poo'. We were all laughing so hard!

Arabelle and Bo were blowing bubbles for Mae today and she loved it.

And here's Mae watching herself in the video and just being funny and cute. :)

I can't believe she'll be 2 soon!

Jamaican get away

Jared and I got away for a little Jamaican get away last week. It was SO nice to relax and enjoy 85 degree weather and sunshine! The low temps were only in the mid to upper 70s.

We stayed at the Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios from Wednesday until Saturday. The kids were SO excited to spend a few days at Papaw and Mamaw's too....not sure who was more excited, us or them. ;)

Panoramic view from our room. So nice to hear the waves and feel the breeze!

Sandals is an all inclusive resort, so we ate and drank as much as we wanted! Each morning, we are from a big breakfast buffet and each night we had a 4 or 5 course meal. For lunch we ate at the restaurant right beside the beach and ordered snacks in between. It also included 24 hour room service, so we had cheese cake and chocolate cake one night before bed. All the food was SO good!

The fruit juices they had were delicious. We both probably had 4-5 of the fruit punch drinks (pineapple, mango, and some kind of red fruit juice...cherry maybe?) a day while we were lounging by the beach. Only once did they bring me one with rum in it....that was a surprise! Ha! The 'beach butler' who delivers drinks from the bar felt AWFUL and said he asked for one without alcohol, but considering how many alcoholic drinks they make in a day, I'm sure the bartender wasn't thinking.

Took a picture of the towel elephant for the kids. :)

Our view at lunch on Friday.

I also enjoyed when people would ask, "Is this you first baby?", then watch their eyes bug out and their jaw drop when we'd say it was our 4th. Haha! A couple of the people didn't seem to believe them until we showed them pictures of the kids on our phones.

We had a GREAT time relaxing and reconnecting before baby #4 comes along. :)

Thanks to Papaw and Mamaw for keeping the kids, especially since Bo and Mae were coughing/snotty and Arabelle started with a stomach virus during the night Saturday.

She perked up quickly and enjoyed modeling her Jamaican dress (Mae has a matching one, but she didn't want to model it).

We got Bo a little bamboo flute and he plays the music while Arabelle dances. ha!

Little Monkeys

This is pretty much what happens when I try to get a picture of the kids together....Bo not looking or paying attention, Mae whining because someone is touching her, and Arabelle being silly.  ha!

We spent some time at the park one day last week and they had so much fun!

Basketball Belle

When it was time to sign up for soccer in the Fall, I gave Arabelle the choice between soccer in the Fall or Basketball in the Winter and she was so excited to choose soccer!

But, she went to watch Gigi play a basketball game a couple of weeks ago and she's hooked now! She's already been practicing with Jared for next season. ;)

Bubble Gum Bo

Bo LOVES bubble gum or any kind of gum really. Sambo buys him a two pack of Bubble Tape (a big roll of bubble gum) every Sunday when they are buying ice cream for dessert.
He is usually out of gum by Tuesday or Wednesday and here's why.....

He puts SO much in his mouth! Ha!

Here he is trying to talk with that much gum.
