Girls' Trip to the Fox Theater

Back in December, Arabelle, Mamaw, and I had a "Girls' Trip" to Atlanta. Mamaw's choir, the Jubalheirs, sang with The Getty's at the Fox Theater. We arrived in Atlanta just before noon and had lunch at Mary Mac's Tea Room. It was delicious! 

We loved all the Christmas decorations.

Mamaw had rehearsal for a few hours, so Arabelle and I spent a couple of hours at a Barnes and Noble bookstore. I loved it!

We had to get a treat too. Arabelle's brownie didn't make it long enough for a picture. ;)

I called a salon nearby and the owner happened to be there (why are salons closed on Mondays!?) and was kind enough to open for me to get a MUCH needed hair cut. 

After that, we met up with Mamaw and had dinner at Baraonda. It was really tasty as well! Arabelle and I walked around and looked at the Christmas lights and decorations for a while before heading back to the theater for the show.

The Gettys are Irish modern hymn writers and we loved their concert!

We got back to Pineview well after midnight and had to be back home the next morning by 8. We were tiiiiiiired, but it was so worth it! 

Flower Girls

Back in March, we walked down to the dollar store to buy a pack of Zinnia seeds. We had some planted in this spot last year, so we expected some to come up, but we planted a few more. Arabelle has always loved flowers and Mae is really starting to enjoy watering and taking care of flowers too.

They are both so proud of the results!

Girl Time

Arabelle and Mae had a little girl time together on Saturday and surprised us with their new looks.

I asked Mae to say "cheese" and this is what she did. Haha! :)

I love that they had so much fun together. Hopefully their make up skills will improve over the next 10 years. 

Girl Time!

Arabelle and I had a little girl time Saturday evening! I took her to Belk's to look at shoes and clothes.....she LOVES to "oooh" and "aaahhh" over all the things. :) She also wanted me to buy some interesting shoes that I surely wouldn't be able to walk in. haha!

We picked up a few groceries at Walmart, then had an early supper at Ruby Tuesday's. I had a 'free kid's meal" coupon + a gift card, so we had a FREE supper date!

Very focused on the word find:

We sat in one of those booths for two, one on each side. Arabelle insisted we could fit on the same side, so we did. They had music playing overhead as well and she was loving it....'dancing' in the booth and everything. It was such a fun and special time with my girl!

Sister Love

These girls! Arabelle is still all about Mae and Mae is all about Arabelle! I love watching them interact, especially as Mae grows.

Sleepover!

We had company last night! Rhianna & Gigi came over to spend the night! Arabelle has been SO excited all week. Rhianna will be 5 next week & Gigi will be 4 later this month, so they are all right there together in age and have so much fun together!

Snack time! Notice how much darker it is in the background here.  This was just a minute or two after the pic above it. Apparently there was a tornado a few miles south of here. It was raining at our house, but no bad wind at all!

The girls had SO much fun! We are looking forward to the next sleepover!
