Spring Fun

Besides waiting for the baby, we're trying to fit some Spring time fun in without a newborn in tow.

Tuesday morning, we went to the park to play. There were a couple of elementary schools there and Arabelle and Bo were pretty disappointed at all the kids all over the place. They decided to go play in the little stream, since the school kids weren't allowed to play in the water. Ha! We met one of Mae's friends, so she had fun on the little slides and swings with her buddy.

Wednesday afternoon, we got out the slip-n-slide and popsicles!

Thursday afternoon was Field Day with our homeschool group. The games started at 1, which is right at Mae's nap time (and my nap time now too!), so our wonderful babysitter, her mom, and brothers picked up Arabelle and Bo for the fun! They played on the slip-n-slide, in the sprinkler, played games, and had a snack. 

Mae and I met them at the park after our naps to enjoy some of the fun, then we tried out the newest snow cone place in town, The Ice House, before Arabelle's tball game. Everyone approved! 

We don't really have anything planned for the next few days, so it would be really nice to have a baby. :)

Until then, we enjoy our time as a family of 5 and........wait.

More Splashing

Warmer weather + rain = lots of splashing!

Mae found this tiny puddle, but jumped with all her might!

Arabelle requested I video her 'bike show' of them riding through the puddles. I can't get very many good pictures of them in the puddles because they move too fast! 

The next day, all the puddles were gone except this one mud puddle out the back and it smelled awful. blah!

Have I mentioned we are glad it's springtime? ;)

SPRING!!!

We are all so excited that SPRING is here! We have been loving the warm weather and the extra daylight at the end of the day (plus Bo sleeps later in the mornings now)!

I actually took my camera outside one day.

We spend 2-3 hours outside every afternoon these days, so here's a few pictures of our fun!

Bo sure loves Mae's baby pool.

Mae LOVES to play in the dirt. She definitely earns her bath each night!

Spring Porch Washing

Once it warms up in the Spring, we always get out and wash the front porch down and have a little fun!

It was definitely difficult taking a few pictures while making sure the camera didn't get wet and keeping Mae from falling down the steps.

Mae loved the soap bucket (and yes, she's gnawing on a stick Bo put in the water. Oops.).

Arabelle took the job very seriously.

And Bo was, well, Bo. :)

The water hose has a little hole in it, so they had a 'sprinkler' too.

Mae saw Bo washing the door and joined in.

This is hilarious to me. Sums up our days around here...WILD and CRAZY! :)

I guess this is another 'thing' we'll be doing every year and I'll take pictures of. I always wonder how long I'll get away with these things and have them smiling. Do you think they'll be grinning like this when they're 17, 15, and 12??

Cousin Fun

A couple of weekends ago, we spent some time with the cousins in Pineview! 

Ok, obviously it's easier to take a picture of Mae than the other kids because she can't run away and is easy to 'trick' into a smile. So, most of these are of Mae. ;)

I think she's saying, "I'll be one soon!"

She LOVED sitting on the Gator and pretending to drive. She can't quite reach the pedal yet.

Grandma found a baby turtle that we kept as a pet for a few days. We set him free before we accidentally killed him.
