Ok, I've fallen off the blogging wagon, but I'm trying to hop back on!
Sometime in the last couple of weeks, it rained, so we splashed (as usual!). Arabelle actually didn't want to splash this day, which has never happened!
Well, it's only taken me almost a week to share these pictures.....last Monday was a really rainy day, so late Tuesday morning we checked out all the puddles with the promise of getting to splash in them after nap/rest.
It started out as the usual splashing.....
And then we kept walking and looking for more puddles. They were a bit ahead of me and SWIMMING before I knew it. They declared this was the BEST PUDDLE EVER!!!!
Mae got out of the stroller and enjoyed some small puddles and playing with rocks.
Arabelle and Bo had the best time in the swimming hole....they played for about 30 minutes. Mae was content to explore the area too. I was standing there watching Mae play in the mud/rocks while Arabelle and Bo were happily playing in the 'pool' and I was just overwhelmed with the fact that we've been given these 3 sweet kids. :)
Mae even got dirty. :)
They were disappointed that the 'pool' was gone the next day.
You know how much we love mud puddles! There was a big rain on Friday morning and that afternoon was the perfect weather for splashing.
Bo spent a lot of time making mud cakes. Yum!
Mae will be right in it next year, I bet!
After I put my camera away, we took a bike ride through the puddles and Bo got his stuck just so. The back wheel was up off the ground and made a big spray of water when he would pedal. They spent a good 30 minutes spraying the water for one another to run through. Needless to say, they were SOAKED!
"School" was cancelled on Tuesday and Wednesday because of all the rain we got over the weekend and early in the week. So, we had some fun days at home! Tuesday morning, we baked a yummy treat together....these Deep Dish Oatmeal Chocolate Cookie Bars.
As you can see, they were both pleased. I think Bo could be on a commercial with this face!
Fortunately, it was a pretty warm day on Tuesday, so we hit the puddles with a splash! I did decide to make them some trash bag covers to keep their clothes from getting completely soaked.
I love this action shot of Arabelle!
Arabelle also had the idea to start a one girl band and used her bed as the stage. She had a really serious band face going on at the beginning!
Bo got in on the action too:
We finished our fun days today with a trip to the library and a park picnic!
