Go Dawgs!

The day after our zoo trip, Jared took Arabelle and Bo up to Athens for the Georgia vs Georgia Southern game. The kids were SO excited! Arabelle woke up at 6:30 and she's usually our late sleeper. They were out the door by 8:30.

Go Dawgs!

Jared said they were really excited pre-game and were dancing to the music and waving their pom-poms around like crazy. :)

Unfortunately, the game didn't start until 7pm, but they stayed until half time and got home just after midnight and the Dawgs pulled out the win (barely).

I'm so glad they got a day with Jared to experience something they all enjoy!

UGA Spring Game

Last weekend, we all loaded up and went to Athens for the spring football game.

I was undecided on going, until Arabelle had me write mine and Jared's name on a paper. She wrote her's, Bo's, and Mae's down, then told me that it was the sign up sheet for the game and we were all going. Pretty smart way to convince Mae and me to go. :)

We left at 8:00 and Mae was ready for a nap pretty soon after.

We were all SO glad to finally get there! I had packed a picnic lunch, so we found a grassy area near the parking garage and had a quick picnic before the 1:00 game.

It was hot and sunny, but we found a perfect spot in the shade!

Poor Jared.....Bo drove his little red truck all over him while he tried to watch the game.
I think the kids were most excited about the game food. They wanted cotton candy, but they weren't selling it that day. Bo (and Mama) got Dippin' Dots and Arabelle got a frozen pink lemonade.
We all made it part way through the 3rd quarter before the kids and I had to get out and find some where to play. I think Mae was relieved:

We also found a coffee shop inside one of the buildings and they had giant cookies, buy 1 get 1 free. Giant cookies make happy kids!

Bo was asleep minutes after getting in the car.

And Mae was exhausted, but not giving in.

We stopped for supper in Milledgeville and got home just before 9. It was a LONG day, but a fun one!

Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Time!

Today was a nice day! Jared took Arabelle with him to Athens for the UGA Spring Football game and Bo and I stayed home for a day together.

Arabelle was SO excited to go this morning, despite being woken up to get dressed. When I was doing her hair she said "I think they'll have ice cream there!".

Bo and I enjoyed a pretty quiet day at home. I could tell he enjoyed having run of the house! We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and since there wasn't anyone to share with, he ate 4 of them, then licked the rest of the icing out of the little cup. Think he was enjoying it!?

Grandma and Grandpa ended up coming for a visit in the afternoon and took us to supper. It was a fun day!

Weekend away

Jared, Bo, and I enjoyed a weekend in Athens! Jared was going for a trial practice seminar, so Bo and I went along for the trip. Arabelle went to my parents for the weekend and of course, had a great time too. Jared's work paid for the hotel, etc. so we stayed at the Holiday Inn downtown so Jared could walk to the law school for class. It was so nice to be right there and take some walks with Bo. He loves riding in the stroller and enjoyed having some playtime outside in the grassy areas.
Bo's favorite thing to do in the hotel was to open and close the little cover on the air conditioner thermostat.
What's that????

Love this sweet little boy!!

Waiting on Daddy to come out. I tried to get him to sit on the step for a picture, but he spotted some squirrels and wanted to try to catch them.
There is a place called "Gigi's Cupcakes" nearby, so I had to try that out. They had HUGE cupcakes! This was a really good red velvet.

Don't feel too bad for Arabelle....she swam nearly every day . Here she is taking a break from the pool to have a Snickers.

Pizza Hut!
We were SO happy to see her Sunday night! I think she missed Bo the most. She kept hugging and kissing him. He was just as happy to see her.

Trip to Athens

Last Friday, we drove up to Athens for the weekend. UGA had their spring football game and we went last year, so I guess it's a family tradition! We had a great time, despite the long drive with a 7.5 mo. old and a 2.5 year old. Plus, getting them to sleep and stay asleep in a hotel room was.......difficult.

Friday, we dropped Jared off to play basketball and went to the hospital to see some ladies that I used to work with. I can't believe it's been nearly 3 years since we moved back 'home'! We had supper with a few friends, then turned in for the night.
Supper with Roy, Melanie, & Judy
Saturday started bright and early (thanks Bo!). He took an early nap while Arabelle and I went to Target & Michael's, then we stopped by the mall once we picked up Jared and Bo.
Playing at the mall

We had lunch at Little Italy, downtown. The pizza was just as good as it was when we lived there! Jared and Arabelle went to the football game, while I took Bo for a nap. He fell asleep in the car, then we shopped a bit at Kohls before picking up J & A.

Saturday night was a BAD night for Bo, sleepwise. I think he woke up 8 times? Needless to say, we loaded up pretty quickly Sunday morning and headed south. We had a ton of fun though!
