Arabelle the Architect

Arabelle loves to build and make stuff out of....junk. An organized craft barely keeps her attention, but let her go around and find random things and she'll make something spectacular. I love it!!

Thursday, she grabbed a few things off the porch and made a little house in the backyard! She used the wheelbarrow (on the left), her princess chair, a bench, old boxes, the blanket, and the wagon.

She was quite proud of herself! :)

Fashion Designer?

It's kind of strange, but Arabelle rarely plays with toys, at least the way they were intended. She is so creative and makes up different games with everything. 

In the afternoons, Arabelle 'rests' in the den on the sofa, since she and Bo share a room. I came in to find that she had made herself an outfit out of a Belk bag (they had been using it in their 'store'). Pretty clever!

She also enjoyed dancing in it. 

Maybe she's got a career as a fashion designer in her future??

Arabelle's Creativity

Arabelle has always been pretty creative. She often takes things, like boxes, scrap paper, ribbon, etc. and makes new things from them.

This week, she's spent a lot of time with her new construction paper and ribbon from balloons. She's made butterflies and birds, and other random things, like taping ribbons to her crayons.

Saturday, she made Bo a "Bo" train track all by herself! I was quite impressed that she figured the "B" out!

As you can see, Bo was quite pleased with her work!
