We're going to Disney World!

I'm not sure who is more excited, me or the kids!!!

Yes, I'll be 32 weeks pregnant when we go (this weekend!). I've already looked into renting an electric scooter. ;)

First SnoBiz!

Arabelle started art class again this week. Bo and I dropped her off yesterday and discovered that SnoBiz (the shaved ice place) is already open!

So of course, we had to stop! Bo had his first SnoBiz and really liked it!

I was hoping he wouldn't tell Arabelle about it, but the first thing he said to her when we got back to art class was "Hey Arabelle! I had ice cream!".

Luckily, she was too busy finishing her art to care.

Lulu the Frog

Yesterday Arabelle was helping me clean up the flower beds some and we found a frog! She was really excited. Usually she's hesitant when she tries to catch one, but it didn't take long before she had this one, and a new friend. She quickly named her Lulu. She tried to teach Lulu how to sit and stay, which Lulu did.....sometimes.

Poor Lulu was the most tolerant frog I've ever seen. She hung around with us for a few hours before escaping to "find her family".

Family Birthday Fun

We have been on the go and having fun celebrating lots of family members' birthdays! We started in February, celebrating Caleb's 2nd birthday in Lawrenceville. We enjoyed the weekend with family and had a lot of fun at his Thomas the Train party!

The next weekend we celebrated Connie's birthday with a birthday lunch that Sunday. Bo was most excited about singing "Happy Birthday" I think. :)

Anderson also turned 5 that weekend and we went last weekend to celebrate both his and Isaiah's birthday (His 3rd birthday is in April).

We have been spoiled these last few weeks and there's more to come! This weekend, we'll celebrate Grandma and Papaw's birthday and next week, we'll celebrate both Rhianna and Gigi's birthdays (6 and 5 years)!

We're ready for more cake and partying!

Rain Day

"School" was cancelled on Tuesday and Wednesday because of all the rain we got over the weekend and early in the week. So, we had some fun days at home! Tuesday morning, we baked a yummy treat together....these Deep Dish Oatmeal Chocolate Cookie Bars.

As you can see, they were both pleased. I think Bo could be on a commercial with this face!

Fortunately, it was a pretty warm day on Tuesday, so we hit the puddles with a splash! I did decide to make them some trash bag covers to keep their clothes from getting completely soaked.

I love this action shot of Arabelle!

Arabelle also had the idea to start a one girl band and used her bed as the stage. She had a really serious band face going on at the beginning!

Bo got in on the action too:

We finished our fun days today with a trip to the library and a park picnic!

Think we've had a fun week??

More Videos

Bo has been very willing to perform for the camera lately. Arabelle, no so much. So here's a few videos of Arabelle and Bo!

Painting. Apparently it's better to paint wearing goggles. ;)

Bo was showing me how he was going to play t-ball this spring.

Bo got up from his 'rest' on Saturday and was SO hyper!

As you noticed in the last 2 videos, Bo wore his bathing suit around the house on Saturday. Of course, he had to go swimming!

Bo is 2.5!

Has it really been a year since I was writing Bo's 18 month update and six months since his 2 year update!?

He has grown and changed so much in the last several months.
  • Bo moved to the big boy bed recently and has done SO well with it! He got up during the night the first night, but now he knows he is to stay on the bed until we come get him. He sure lets us know when it's morning though by yelling "It's sun shining!!!" over and over.
  • He loves to run and fall down and say he's stuck in the mud. His imagination has really blossomed in the last few months! He will say there's a monster/snake/alligator/etc. in the house and he needs his "Spiderman shoes (a pair of cleats)" on to go fight it. He also likes to pretend Arabelle is his Mama every now and then.
  • He has FINALLY started smiling for pictures!!!!

  • We changed out the 'baby' swing for a big kid swing several months ago and he loves swinging "to outerspace" and always wants to go higher.

  • I noticed his pants were getting a lot shorter and sure enough, he's grown about 2 inches in the last 6 months!  He's now just over Arabelle's height on her 2nd birthday.
  • He is a much better eater than he was last year at this time. Some of his favorites are carrots and ranch, strawberries, string cheese, raisins, waffles, chicken tenders, apple slices, and of course, any kind of junk he may be able to get his hands on (cookies, M&Ms, etc).
  • He still LOVES to wear hats and likes to always have something in his hand. He'll take a little matchbox car to bed most nights, or a tool from his tool box.
  • Bo enjoys Play-doh, paining, and any kind of craft. He knows his colors and can say the ABCs. He recognizes some of the letters (for sure he knows "B" and "O"!). He likes to play on the tablet with Arabelle.
  • He is still not interested in the toilet. He actually told me last week that he may fall in, so I guess he has a little fear there? I am *hoping* one day he'll just want to do it. Otherwise, we may 'run out' of diapers during Spring Break and have to learn to potty. :p
  • A routine day for Bo begins by 7:00 and he's ready for breakfast right away. He likes either a frozen waffle (still frozen) or oatmeal. He's happy to play or watch a show (Curious George or Jake and the Neverland Pirates are favorites) until Arabelle wakes up.
  • He goes to 'school' on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings and we hang out at home or go to the library or park on Tuesday and Thursdays.
  • He still 'rests' on his bed in the afternoons, but rarely naps. If he doesn't nap, he's ready for bed by 6:30 or 7:00. If he does nap, he's up and energized until 8 or so.
Here's Bo being....well, Bo!
