School Reward

We struggled a bit with Arabelle not wanting to do her school work. Let's be honest, we don't do *that* much, probably only 20 minutes of direct teaching & workbooks TOTAL in a day, plus the activities (that she loves and doesn't see as work). So, I told her if she focused and did her best without whining, we'd get a treat during Christmas break. She wanted to go to Your Yogurt, where you get a cup of yogurt and put on all the candy/toppings you want. On Dec. 27th, they had been fever free for about 24 hours, so we loaded up and planned to go!

Wouldn't you know it, they shut down on Dec. 22nd. Arabelle was really sad, but decided that Dairy Queen would be a pretty good treat too. ;)

She ate the entire dipped cone and was one happy girl! 

SnoBiz

The kids stayed at school Tuesday afternoon until my Dr. appt was over, then we went for SnoBiz again! 

I'm not sure who enjoys it more......

Snow Biz

The kids stayed at school all day on Monday so I could cook some freezer meals, clean up, and REST a little bit. They both really like to take their lunch boxes and Bo will actually nap at school, so it all worked out! I love picking them up in the afternoons because they're always playing together on the playground so sweetly.

I decided to take them to Snow Biz for an icy treat! It was raining, so we enjoyed our treats in the car before heading home. Bo sat up in the front on the middle console with his (so I could help minimize the mess!) and Arabelle climbed to the middle seats. She looks SO big sitting in a seat without a car seat!

First SnoBiz!

Arabelle started art class again this week. Bo and I dropped her off yesterday and discovered that SnoBiz (the shaved ice place) is already open!

So of course, we had to stop! Bo had his first SnoBiz and really liked it!

I was hoping he wouldn't tell Arabelle about it, but the first thing he said to her when we got back to art class was "Hey Arabelle! I had ice cream!". 

Luckily, she was too busy finishing her art to care. 

Afternoon fun!

I only have 2 pictures today, but we had a fun afternoon! Bo took a short nap from 11-12 (*sigh*) and the walls were closing in by 1:30. Arabelle didn't have gymnastics until 3:30, so we loaded up around 2 and headed to the park! They both had a great time. Bo enjoyed picking up sticks and carrying them around and Arabelle spent a lot of time on the jungle gym. From there we went to Dairy Queen and got blizzards. Bo spent more time walking around and waving at everyone and Arabelle ate nearly all of her mini-blizzard (M&M blizzard!).

Then, we headed to gymnastics! Arabelle really loves it and Bo walks/runs around the whole time. Wears me out! ;)
