Park Picnic

Last week, we had our NASA co-op with the homeschool group. It started at 1:00 (Mae's nap time!), so she stayed at pre-school to nap while we went. I thought it was the perfect time to have a park picnic beforehand. 

Arabelle and Bo were really excited and it was a lot easier without a toddler along. 

And they both have new lunchboxes. :)

Arabelle and Bo wanted me to make videos of them. Here is Arabelle's and here is Bo's. Arabelle talks non stop in hers and Bo shows off his climbing and running skills. :) 

Mae Baby

I am always asking Mae "Who's my baby?" and she answers with "Nae!!!!", but she certainly is turning into more of a little girl and not much of a baby. I guess she will always be my baby girl, no matter how old she is. :)

Mae grabbed this pail the other day and said, "Bye! Work!" and blew a kiss and ran away, then turned around, ran back, and said, "Home!". Ha! 

I put a pillow in her crib a couple of weeks ago for her to sleep on and she LOVES it!

She really loves the park now and is pretty independent. I figure once she's old enough to go and play with Arabelle and Bo, then the baby boy will be old enough to need help on the playground equipment. ;)

She LOVES taking a bath and splashing all over the place.

Her language has really exploded lately. She'll try to repeat anything you say and strings together 2-3 word phrases. 

Earlier this week, we had played outside after lunch and when we went out to play after nap, a bird had pooped on her swing. She was APPALLED at the mess, so after I cleaned up the swing, she got in it and wouldn't stop talking about the 'bird poo'. We were all laughing so hard!

Arabelle and Bo were blowing bubbles for Mae today and she loved it.

Playground Fun

Tuesday was a nice warm day, so we went for a picnic snack at the church playground!

As you can see, it was a fun time! :)

We're Still Here!

Jared went on his annual duck hunting trip to Mississippi over the weekend, so we went to Mamaw and Papaw's to have fun and relax (well, I did anyway!).

Back to our usual routine today. Tuesdays are our day at home, so we've played, snacked, baked, and napped (well, Bo at least).

I would have liked to take a few pictures of Arabelle and Bo making lunch today. We made pigs in a blanket and they like to roll up the little hot dogs in the dough. Well, keeping up with 4 little hands doesn't leave time to snap a picture!

Thursday, we hit the park for a morning of fun! Some of the slides and swings were still wet from the rain on Tuesday, but the big swing was dry, so they hopped on together.

The Day After

Thursday, Arabelle woke up and acted like nothing was going on. She slept a little late after being up so late the night before and enjoyed hot pancakes with sprinkles. :)

I went easy on her and let her watch a Dora and Cat in the Hat on TV, then we got ready for our fun morning!

First we went to Dollar General for her to pick out some bandaids. I just knew she'd pick the Hello Kitty or Angry Birds, but she went for the solid neon bandaids. :) The only thing is that she doesn't want anyone asking her about it and doesn't like us telling anyone about it. Those bandaids sure do draw attention to the forehead though!

From there, we went to the church playground! The were spinning here:

Bo finally got the courage to go down the curved tube slide and LOVED it! He hopped off the end and said "Me did it!". Then did it over and over again.

And of course, they loved swinging.

We went back home and had a pizza picnic on the front porch before we ALL took early naps. :)

Thanks to all of you for your concern for Arabelle. We really appreciate it! On that note, when you see her again, don't mention it unless you want her to yell "No! Don't talk about that!". ha! She isn't to keen on talking about it or hearing anything about it. :)

Enjoying Spring!

Arabelle and Bo (and me too!) have been loving their swing set! We spend nearly every afternoon on the swing set and playing in the pool. So fun!

Swing Set

We got a new swing set last week! We didn't tell Arabelle about it until it was being put together, but she was SO excited when she found out! She spent most of the time they were building it on the back porch watching them. She'd run inside to give me updates every few minutes.

We had someone put it together for us, for the sake of our sanity (and our marriage! ha!). It took 3 'handyman' men 5 hours to put together, so I imagine it would have taken a loooonnnngggg time!

I think it's the perfect size for Arabelle and Bo and will be entertaining for years! Arabelle calls the part at the top of the slide her "castle".

I am SO glad they each have a swing now!
