Christmas 2014, part 4

Friday morning, we got Arabelle's antibiotics for her finger and the bandage supplies, then headed to Pineview for our family Christmas!

We started with lunch at Grandpa and Grandma's that day.

I can not even get over Mae in this picture! That little smile and how big she looks sitting in a booster seat on a regular chair.....

Mae was a pro at present opening by this point!

I love how they all hovered around whoever was opening the gift.

Bo was so excited about his Captain America Lego set from Aunt Dawn!

Arabelle's new UGA shirt came in a cool mailbox!

This just makes me laugh! Bo and Anderson were the only kids that were camera ready.

After lunch, it was nap time for the youngest 3 while all the older ones were out playing (keeping the noise outside!).

Tasty food again!

Lowndes took to Arabelle that afternoon/evening, so was ready for the picture this time. Ha!

Bo and Arabelle both love his Monopoly Kid's game!

Pop gun!!!

Mae got a set of quadruplets from Mamaw and Papaw, so she's been busy taking care of babies! Bo said, "We need more baby doll strollers now!". Ha!

We all spent the night and had more yummy food and lots of fun!

Christmas 2014, part 3

Christmas morning! Arabelle had taken some Tylenol with Codeine in the ER, so she crashed when we got home the night before and slept until 7:30 without a peep. Bo is usually up well before 7, but came in a few minutes after Arabelle got up. I think they both had forgotten it was Christmas morning. I was so afraid Bo would go in during the night and open all the presents while we were asleep. Ha!

We woke Mae up around 7:45. They were so excited!

A few new books for Mae....

Arabelle had asked for walkie-talkies and she got them! Bo also loves this new superhero shirt he got in his stocking.

Bo was excited about his Dusty toy plane (from the movie Planes).

New cups!

Bo came up with the idea of a car that drives up the wall and funny enough, I had already ordered one off Amazon! Somehow, Amazon shipped the car in a box by itself and then shipped another box with the same car and a toy helicopter. They told us they didn't know how it happened, but to keep it. I had also seen the same car at Walmart for a decent bit cheaper, so I bought it and planned to return the Amazon one before the duplicate one even came. So, we ended up with 3 of them. I wrapped the Walmart one, but had forgotten, so I wrapped another Amazon one and didn't realize it until Bo opened two on Christmas morning. haha! I still had one to ship back to Amazon for a refund. :)

They always get new underwear in their stocking and they last all year. Ha!

Mae wasn't too sure about her new tricycle at first. She learned to ring the bell pretty quickly!

She LOVES her doll stroller! Arabelle had one when she was Mae's age, but it wore out from pushing a certain little brother around. I'm sure Mae will wear this one out with her baby brother too. :)

The big kids also got scooters (snagged a BARGAIN on Amazon for $17 each!) and they LOVE them!

Love this grin!

Papaw and Mamaw came for a visit that afternoon.

It was a nice day at home with each other!

Christmas 2014, part 2

Christmas Eve was a busy and FUN day (except the ending....).

I snapped a few pictures at the beginning of the gift opening at Sambo and Leigh Leigh's, then it got chaotic and I didn't want my camera to break, so I put it away. Ha!

Bo had a little trouble when his name wasn't called first for a present. ;)

This is about where things got wild...paper was flying, Mae lost her shirt, etc.

Ninja Turtle!

It had rained and rained and rained and finally stopped that Wed. afternoon. After Mae took her nap and the big kids played with their new toys, we went splashing! It was plenty warm for them to get wet.

Arabelle wanted to be sure to have her picture with Jared so everyone would know he was with us that day. :)

Mae had the funniest expression when Bo got his bike stuck in the puddle so he could make the water spray out behind him. We laughed and laughed!

Jared took us on a tour of his favorite puddles from when he was a kid. Arabelle was riding her bike across this ditch and she didn't quite make it up the other side.

Think Arabelle was having fun??

Mae just seemed confused.

Heading back home....

Christmas Eve night, I made Arabelle's favorite for supper (chili) and let Bo eat his favorite, a PBJ sandwich. We had planned ride around and look at Christmas lights just after 6pm. The big kids went to get shoes off the back porch and I was putting some Christmas cookies in baggies while Jared got changed when we heard the slam and scream. Bo accidentally slammed Arabelle's pinky finger in the door and she must have yanked her hand out and left the fingertip hanging (I'll spare you the picture). So, we spent a couple of hours in the ER having it glued back on, looked at some lights, and came home to crash!

So, the day didn't end quite how we planned (Christmas lights, cookies, hot chocolate and the Christmas story), but we survived!

Christmas 2014, part 1

I didn't put any Christmas presents for the kids under the tree until Monday night and we let them open the gifts on Tuesday, so there wasn't too much talk about them before hand. I also put them BEHIND the tree so Mae wouldn't open them all. She was the perfect age to open gifts by herself this year....she loved it!

Arabelle was SO excited about her art set from Nancy!

See? ;)

Bo couldn't believe there were SO MANY DINOSAURS in one pack!

They loved all their gifts, Nancy! Thank you!

Opening a few gifts the night before Christmas Eve definitely got them super excited about the next few days!!!
